Is it time to order iolite replacement parts online?  More and more, the iolite Vaporizer has caught the eye of people looking for a portable solution to the tableside vape they use at home.  If you have a job or business that takes you on the road away from your home (and your vape), then you’ll like the idea of an easy-to-use portable vaporizer.  However, because of the way the iolite operates, some people mistakenly think the unit has stopped working and place an order for parts online.

The operation of the iolite is what makes it such a favorite in the line of portable vaporizers.  The iolite operates without batteries, AC power or flames.  It uses an internal chamber that causes butane and oxygen to have a catalytic reaction to heat the herb.  The butane is expelled from the unit as harmless water vapor.   You start the vaporizer by pressing a button that causes the temperature inside the chamber to heat your product so you can inhale it in less than a minute.  How cool is that?

Common Problems and Answers

Are you having problems getting your iolite to ignite?  Before you go looking for replacement online, consider this situation. People living in high altitudes, say above 4,800 feet or 1,600 meters, will probably experience problems igniting the vaporizer.  This is a common problem for all butane powered devices like lighters and soldering irons.  A low barometric pressure will also cause problems igniting the vape.   Here’s how to handle these problems.

1.       Rub the vape quickly between your hands or place it in your pocket to get it warmed up.  This really helps out when you are in high altitude zones, like touring Aspen.
2.       Don’t try firing up your iolite in the carrying pouch.  We’re not sure why people think this is good to do, but it’s not.  There is insufficient oxygen inside the pouch.
3.       Using the incorrect butane fuel for refills.   In North America use:   Vector, Colibri, Newport, Dunhill, Braun, or Power.  In Europe use:   Ronson, Newport, Dunhill, or Braun.

While you may need to order iolite parts online, you should get long life out of your vaporizer when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
